Welcome to Burton Pedwardine Online |

Burton Pedwardine Online is the Website of the Burton Pedwardine Parish Meeting and the Residents of arguably Lincolnshire’s smallest Hamlet which can trace its roots back to before the Norman Conquest and the invasion of England by William, Duke of Normandy. Located in the heart of the Lincolnshire Countryside approximately 4½ Miles south-east of the market town of Sleaford and nestling on the edge of the East Anglian Fens, Burton Pedwardine is still a predominantly agricultural village surrounded by open farmland. Many of the residents have come to enjoy the village’s peaceful tranquility, friendly atmosphere and Lincolnshire’s legendary “big skies”. Click here to see a map of the area. Take a few moments to read about Burton Pedwardine’s long history as a feudal village and find out what is happening here in the 21st Century. If you are tracing your ancestors, take a look at our Geneaology page and see if the locals can help you with the missing piece in your family history. And if Archaeology is your thing, find out about the abandoned village and the earthworks that survive today. Website Last Updated: 11th June 2009 (Church News)
