Burton Pedwardine’s long history means many people are lucky enough to be able to trace their ancestors to this quiet part of the Lincolnshire Countryside. On these pages, we will provide resources that we are aware of that may help you in your search. If you know of a resource that we have not included, then please let us know by using the Contact Us page and we will be delighted to add it to the list. One of the best resources we have found so far is that run by Gordon Warrington. Now a resident of South Yorkshire, Gordon has relatives who lived in the village for a long time and has spent considerable effort transcribing parish records for Burton Pedwardine and the surrounding area. You will find lots of interesting information on Gordon's website. If you want to know something particular about the village today that might help you with your research, please use the “Contact Us” Page to get in touch and we will do our best to try and help you. If you are thinking of travelling to Burton Pedwardine by Train, the nearest station is Heckington, located about 2 miles north east of Burton Pedwardine on the Nottingham to Skegness Line. All Trains operated by East Midlands Trains stop at Heckington and most also stop at Grantham, providing direct connections via the East Coast Main Line to London, Yorkshire, the North East of England and Scotland.
